1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups ripple style potato chips, crushed
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Cream together the shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, salt, and soda. Stir until well mixed. Add chips and nuts. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes at 350.
